B board : una nueva manera de desplazarte

Abstract

Este proyecto nace con la ambición de llegar a diseñar un producto que combine dos conceptos clave, el transporte y el deporte. B Board es una alternativa de movilidad urbana dirigida a jóvenes que buscan diversión y practicar deporte en su tiempo libre. Se centra en generar una experiencia completamente nueva, donde la línea de aprendizaje prende gran importancia en el diseño para llegar a generar un producto con identidad propia, y original en cuanto al sistema de desplazarse. Desarrollado mediante el uso de varios prototipos funcionales se llega al diseño de un mecanismo bidireccional que permite realizar movimientos con mucha fluidez y avanzar mediante la inercia de giro sin tener que poner los pies en el suelo. Se combinan materiales tales como el acero Inox para el sistema de giro, el aluminio y la madera contrachapada de arce canadiense para la tabla, que cuenta con un mecanizado para una mayor transportabilidad.

This project emerges from the ambition of designing a product that combines two key concepts: transport and sport. B Board is an alternative to the urban mobility addressed to young people that want to spend their free time having fun and practicing sport. Its main goal is to create a completely new experience in which the learning process has a great importance in the design to generate a product with a self-identity and original in terms of displacement system. Developed through the use of different functional prototypes reaches the final design which includes a bidirectional mechanism that allows a rapid spinning through the rotation inertia and advancing without putting the feet on the ground. Some of the materials used are: stainless steel for the rotation system and aluminium and Canadian maple plywood for the table, which also includes a machining that makes the transportation of the product easier.
