Abstract

El projecte se centra en actualitzar l’actual col·lecció d’accessoris de bany perquè siguin aptes per als nous productes d’higiene i cosmètica que hi ha al mercat. En primer lloc, he analitzat la gran varietat formal d’aquests productes de bany per entendre la necessitat de personalitzar els accessoris on es guarden. En segon lloc, he fet recerca de la tecnologia que fa possible la fabricació personalitzada: quines impressores 3D hi ha al mercat i amb quins materials es poden imprimir els objectes. Finalment, he fet una valoració de quina és la repercussió de la impressió 3D en la societat. Un dels objectius de l’accessori de bany que he ideat és fomentar l’ús de la impressió 3D. L’altre objectiu és ordenar l’espai a partir d’un accessori amb un disseny funcional que soluciona la manera de guardar els diferents productes de la higiene diària i que, a més a més, es pot fabricar a casa. Amb la impressió 3D es pot canviar la manera de consumir seriada, cosa que, amb el pas del temps, fomentarà la creativitat i la innovació.

This project is based on updating collections of bathroom accessories to be suitable for any new Hygiene&Cosmetics products existing in the market. First of all, I explored a whole variety of bath products in order to understand the need to customize accessories where these products are stored. Secondly, I have made some research on which technologies are most suitable to produce customized products focusing on the 3D printers existing in the market and the different materials to use for printing objects. Finally I've made a first assessment on what could be the impact and repercusion for the society. With this new concept of self-bathroom accessories, I have created a solution that leverages the use of home 3D printing. It is a functional design that addresses how to organize any bath product we use in our daily hygiene and it’s designed to be self-produced at home. With this technology, the way we consume mass products could change, and over the time, it could foster both creativity and innovation within the market.
