¿Qué casa para ti?

Abstract

¿Qué casa para ti? qüestiona el rerefons conflictiu del concepte de casa/llar, en tant que espai material però tanmateix com a espai mental, subjecte a la construcció d’identitat dins del col·lectiu. Em proposo un acte ‘inútil’, fruit de la necessitat de buscar un espai que sigui casa/llar després de la situació de pandèmia originada l’any 2020: cartografiar una antiga casa derruïda per a ‘endur-me-la’ i preservar, al seu torn, el seu record. El buit generat per l’absència del que va ser casa/llar per uns altres s’omplirà, durant el procés de recerca, de capes de significat. Arran d’això, la intervenció final tindrà una intenció encoberta de caràcter contragentrificador.

What home for you? questions the conflict underneath the concept of home, as a material space as well as a mental space, being subject to identity construction within the collective. I propose a ‘useless’ act, resulting from the need to find a space to designate as home after the 2020 pandemic situation: mapping an old demolished house to adopt, preserve and simultaneously shelter its memory. The void created by the absence of what was home for others will be filled, during the research process, with layers of meaning. As a result, the final intervention will have an underlying statement against gentrification.
