Definition

EINA Digital Repository (DDE in Catalan) is the institutional EINA, School of Art and Design of Barcelona repository. It has open access publications emanated from the activity of the teaching, research and institutional staff, students, and other members of the EINA community.

Targets

The objective of the DDE is twofold. On the one hand, it aims to preserve the material generated by the community of professors, researchers and students of EINA: articles, and other scientific texts resulting from the research work of teaching and research staff, degree, master, and PhD final projects, projects with a level of excellence, notes and teaching materials, institutional publications, etc. On the other hand, dissemination and maximum visibility of these materials and their authors. The DDE also adds value to all these publications by standardised citations, usage statistics, permanent URLs, and availability through interoperable platforms.

Access

The DDE bibliographic records are free and are distributed under different Creative Commons licenses. The public consultation is open to everyone. Some collections of documents have certain restrictions to access the full text. Their consultation may be limited to members of the EINA community. These are the documents with the symbol:

Content organization

The documents of the DDE are grouped in communities and sub-communities. They are also grouped within these collections according to the document type or origin of the documents. The list of communities and the content that can be found in each community is as follows:

  • Design Degree: teaching materials, students' work, final project (TFG in Catalan), student guides, etc. Some TFG can also be found at RECERCAT (Research Repository of Catalonia) and the Diposit Digital de Documents de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
  • Masters and Postgraduates: teaching materials, students' projects, Master's Final Project (TFM in Catalan), student guides. Some TFM can also be found at RECERCAT and the Diposit Digital de Documents de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
  • Research: documents emanated from the research of researchers and EINA's research groups (articles, books, papers, and posters at conferences, theses, etc.)
  • Institutional: EINA institutional documents, including reports, inaugural lectures of the academic year, promotional literature, etc.

Software

The DDE uses DSpace free software developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Hewlett-Packard (HP) and maintained by Duraspace.
